Hey Betty, the beginning of the poem really made me feel the pain one could go through but the ending was very surprising that it was all a dream. You really have the art for connecting with the readers mind. Enjoyed reading it.
Thanks, Palak 😊
A wild dream dear Betty. Sometimes dreams tell us things we don't want to know. I liked the surprise ending. You made the reader believe every word and thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

Betty,
You have accomplished a very interesting read by the blending of tenses that keeps the scene and the reader slightly off balance, as if feeling the same lack of balance felt by the narrator.
Beautifully done. Congrats,

Your words bring us there. We stand in the doorway with you.
Then we discover:
It is dangerous to eat that spicy meatball sandwich before bed. You never know what you might dream .
All kidding aside: your poem flows and moves. A heartache 💔 for certain.
A very enjoyable piece that evidence the reality to ere from the societal status quo is not divine, for the gods did as they damn well pleased and no one disputed their acts, nor their loves, but to be human is simply to be human in living this life as exactly who we are, and nothing more ...

Depends on what? Or perhaps in your misery you might need some Depends. Depending on how dependent you are on him, the impending deep sorrow might require independent counseling to recover your independence. Did you post this on Independence Day?
How about that a cup of Joe
or Sarah?
To be loved like that.
Whole world trembling
at the point of loves two
edges...
Powerfully powerless.
I feel the sting of vulnerability.
yet penned at a safe distance.
Did this really creep you out??? It's merely dream!
Thanks for your review !Best, Betty

Horrible scenario. What would I do? Get my facts right before confrontation. Check her out. Find her husband. Tell him and then decide whether the marriage is beyond saving. Sounds simple doesn't it Betty, but I know it isn't because I've experienced similar. I survived but it was incredibly painful. Thank goodness in this instance it was all a dream. Good to read you.

My love of poetry results from my love of art. As a painter I am able to express myself on a canvas. As a poet my words come from my heart, my moods, sometimes sad, mostly upbeat. I like to use vivid .. more..
