COLORFUL PSYCHEA Poem by Betty HermeleeRED, BLUE YELLOW = moodsCOLORFUL PSYCHE
My psyche appears to mock the speed of a falling star racing toward earth
I strain to classify my brain in blocks of colors red for confusion, clutter, calamity blue for gloom, grief, grouchy yellow for hope, hiatus, heal
At this moment my red chamber displays its ugliest head I toil to retrieve words the creative ones that will sanction me to quill a poem
When I speak about clutter i mean to assert that I carry out too many tasks simultaneously my red chamber detonates my mind shuts as I exhaust my neurons as I stump, lumber along, alone in a void pause, reckon that will lessen the gloom
Sometimes its weeks in the dusk I long for my yellow veil to shroud me in calm I stir to see a fracture of light Which may imply that I am cleansed once more of my red and blue dispositions Perhaps I’ve learned a lesson
