Love how you use colors
to describe stages / moods
of life ..i think colors do affect
how we feel' like restaurants
use a lot colors in decor
like reds while doctors use greens
I like the way you wrote this
very well crafted piece of poetry

Thank you so much Fran, I really am a colorist in art, which I guess fliws with poetry too.

Lovely, it's so interesting how you use different colors to represent your mood and you expertly show how our moods can be unpredictable. Especially the line " Sometimes its weeks in the dusk, I long for my yellow veil to shroud me in calm" showing that some emotions don't show up for weeks. Very interesting way to explain the human psyche and the unpredictability of emotions.

Thank you for visiting, and reviewing my poem, a very in-depth review.

Wow. I feel a bit stunned. This really spoke to me, where I'm at in life, the things I'm figuring out at long last. The little touches, too: the offset line that felt like crashing a bit and slowing to a crawl, all the primary colours that to me suggested if I could get a hold of the three things in my life everything would fall into place, and the interplay between them.
I've been frequenting poetry sites since the mid-90s, and I know that is just a naked appeal to authority, but I honestly rarely come upon a write this good, this meant for me to be reading right now in life. Just superb, I feel very lucky, blessed, to have come across this. I used to have an account here for about a decade way back when but gave my writing as I thought it was unhealthily a release for my emotions that kept me from dealing with things that needed dealing with, but I'm in a place where I feel like I'm on top of thing for the first time so I can write again, and I am sooo glad I sign up just when I did to get this poem in my feed.
I want to shower with superlives, but I know words with fail me in describing just how deeply this grabbed me and how hard. Great write!
Thank you! Why was it fun to read?? what enlightened your attention???

An inventive and poetic write, Betty, written and constructed with a painter's eye! I never really think of colours when I am writing. Obviously I find certain colours more soothing or relaxing than others, but I am often attracted to brighter, primary colours. I enjoyed the read - an excellent poem!
I have to say Betty that purple and lilac hues are calming for me and are best for assisting me with my writing. Too many bright colours like reds, oranges just do my head in. They are my chaos colours. Greens and blues, restful and nearer to nature. I enjoyed your poem and the journey you took me on. Have a good Monday Betty. All the best. Love the posted image to go with your colourful words.

dearest Betty… your mind is very Colorful as you capture the feelings that come your way. The beauty of the Sunrise with orchid and yellow Notes of a concerto that soothes a sad and gloomy sky. Blessings will be given to those who smile. tenderly, Pat

Hmm? I do believe that I understand. But then, again? :)
A very well-written and easy reading poem, much thanks for the read.
My love of poetry results from my love of art. As a painter I am able to express myself on a canvas. As a poet my words come from my heart, my moods, sometimes sad, mostly upbeat. I like to use vivid .. more..
