I am such a nature person and Ohh, I just loved the poetically described October season, which not only brings joy but a festive vibes along with it. I really liked the coziness of the season portrayed here . Loved your piece Betty. And you know, here in India, this season is all about celebrations.😊
Once again, much love to this write.

I apologize it took me so long to get to this! What a lovely poem. I absolutely love the colors and hues you paint here and each word you used feels so fitting for this piece. 'Sleepy sunrise scales the treetops.' This feels so accurate to nearly every dawn. The vibrancy of this poem is breathtaking and almost feels like a song. Thank you for sharing1

Thank you so much for reviewing……wonderful
Keep well,

"The Demise" seems to be a rather harsh assessment of this lyrical autumn scene of approaching storm. Maybe it's becuz rain is so badly needed here, we'd never think of even flooding as "demise"! Still, your scenario is painted in vibrant dynamic autumn-ness (((HUGS)))

Very nice
Autumn has been a disappointment this year with endless rain, but the colors still decorate the landscape
Should inspire some painting??
We just dodged a tornado and not sure what to expect this winter
well said says i! ;) it is a fine meditation to think on Fall's exploding splendor, Winter's pall followed by the glory of rebirth and awakening of things that were asleep. I like how you approached it from the aspect of demise .. a negative flavor you carry throughout .. wearisome .. storm's fury etc. I think it really accents the turn in closing ... hmmmmmmm our woods this year are particularly colorful .. the previous weather trends and happenings can make such a difference .. we don't get frigid temps nor snow here in Arkansas but there is a slumber in the woods .. I am looking forward to it actually .. winter brings an even deeper quiet .. I enjoyed reading very much! Thanks for sharirng ma'am!

dearest Betty ... if only we could Rise again... but then--
we do Rise to Spring every year to see the wee buds appear.

My love of poetry results from my love of art. As a painter I am able to express myself on a canvas. As a poet my words come from my heart, my moods, sometimes sad, mostly upbeat. I like to use vivid .. more..
