Never mind the eclectic graffiti walls

that stretch through the canyons

Halloween extravaganza 

Big Apple Style

Crowds of color

fabric to flashing lights

blinker faces, rainbow of wigs

dogs with pony tails, spider bows

kids squeal from sugar overload

cars dressed in psychedelic stripes

parade of abstractions

banners fuse into 

impressionist blur

Cacophony of sirens, cheers, drumbeat

cops seek to calm the unfeasible

for once

this night dwells in the heartbeat of its people

Hello Betty. Well, we had lots of little people calling. Dressed as demons or witches, they were surprisingly shy. Most of the noise came from my other half. We enjoyed it, and the pumpkin soup I made after the poor thing had its innards scooped out. Now doesn't that sound painful :) Enjoyed the read.

days ..and the city only allows 2 hours
I believe on the street 6 to 8 pm....
