The eyes tell all, abstract and mysterious, what's behind the eyes always speak volumes.
People who seek perfection usually end up in the perfect coffin.
The eye..the light on the eye…the colors…the green rimmed pupil..the nerves and blood vessels…the delicate precise technique..sweet sublime.
The orange intrigues me.
The eye is the way… “into me you see Intimacy”… Love

“Purple hues drown my spirit in truth”
Yes, I have seen and felt that light, blues tangled in a little hot red.
But Truth is elusive and short lived, in the moments I may perceive it.
“nutty abstraction of myself”
That is rich with crunchy protein for one to perceive oneself.
“Proud”…counterpoint to the the word… “Drown” ?
Pride is a continuum, in its extremities it can cause problems.
Pride can swell in me like a rush of poetry into an ever filling balloon…
Then the pop, collapse, purple truth of the nutty abstraction of myself.
Your poetry touches me and my memories.
No one is indeed perfecterated, not even me's! 😊
We can strive for it, sometimes reach it in others eyes and perhaps briefly in our own, but knowing we try, especially in times its easier not to, gives us pride in what and who we are, to others as well as self.
It would indeed be a very boring and one flavour world if we ever reached a place when everything and all was perfect, and most likely devastating when those imperfections crop up, but it doesn't mean we should stop and give up trying to get there.
And we constantly change too, so what one minute brings, the next adapts to, leaving us wondering if perfection can ever be caught more than briefly.
Can you imagine how boring writing would become if those ever changing moments of life suddenly stopped being so uniquely ever changing? Every poem would be called utopia and we would all be the Co authors of it 😊

First off, I loved the name! We really should be proud of our abstract work, because only we can come up with it. You're talented in words and in painting, clearly. The words hold such beautiful and vivid imagery, and then it's only complimented by the gorgeous painting down below. You hold so much talent in you, and the way you put it down into words is brilliant. Eyes really are the window to the soul, and I loved the way you ended off the poem. With a clear, impactful meaning and an equally amazing painting.

Brevity done well can speak volumes Betty. The eyes can be so revealing. They are the mirrors of our soul. Wonderful artwork to match your words. Talented lady you are.

My love of poetry results from my love of art. As a painter I am able to express myself on a canvas. As a poet my words come from my heart, my moods, sometimes sad, mostly upbeat. I like to use vivid .. more..
