An eye, blue as a target

On a white planet

An eye, brown as the damp earth

Soulful, as a smiling clown

Lacks affinity, hope draws near

Shelter my spirit, for I promise the same

My manners will wow you.

 

Deep green eyes

As the leaves on a willow

Black silky hair falls to her waist

Soulful, as the chemistry awakens

Absence of intimacies

Shelter my core, for I promise you the same

The embers burn,

Rise to an orange red flame

I love the aspect and usage of colors in this piece. There's so much creativity that's able to go into dogs and you got the warmth, love, and loyalty of a dog perfectly. As much as I love cats, I love dogs just the same. You can be a dog and cat person! But I understand why anyone would like one more than the other. Cats are quiet, calm, and can be just as loving as dogs, and dogs are often warm, cuddly, and just sweet, slobbery messes too! Dogs are precious and you captured that beautifully here, especially with all the colors. And the dog you used is an absolutely gorgeous canine!
