WINTER'S RENOWN

WINTER'S RENOWN

A Poem by Betty Hermelee
"

Scenes of winter

"
Nude trees surround us
but for a lone red-leaved shrub
pine green, pristine scene

Cloudless mid-blue sky
peeks through a thicket of trees
Woodpecker at work

Brown barn roof blankets
with pine needles and bird poop
a nest sits upstairs

Your posted image and words dear Betty are uplifting. That splash of red, blue sky and sunshine welcome in winter. Also your little woodpecker made me smile. It is cold, miserable and lonely with lockdown over here. I am looking forward to the cusp of spring. Taje good care.

Thanks as always Chris for your kind review! Take care and stay safe, Betty
dear Betty... Shades of Winter before the Snow...
reminders that Nature needs a Vacation to just "chill out"
and watch the Show of Birds flying South where flowers still
grow and warm days are alive with bees and hummers.
The Red Barn and rusty Roof are waiting for Santa to drop some
presents before the New Year begins the cycle of Seasons Song.
Be blessed and rest in the Nest of your Home. tenderly, Pat

Thanks so much Patricia for stopping by with a lovely review
Best, Betty
We should all pause frequently to appreciate moments such as the one described here. The poet is to be thanked for including a picture of the scene described. Even in these times beauty is all around us, if we just take to the time to look for it.
