ANGEL OF PEACE

Achieving peace

The angel of peace

settles on earth

to inform us

of our earthly worth

So much to learn

to ensconce our differ

we shall resist

at whatever trickster

The path to peace

lays onerous to thought

we ought not fear

the trend to be caught

We hope to instill

to those who listen

that peace is vital

for a life to glisten

Let us harmonize as we trek

on the pathway to still

as we ration our divide

strengthen our will

You can't seek war and peace at the same time. Must seek the calmness of peace and walk softly upon the earth. Thank you for sharing the hopeful and wonderful poetry.

Wow!! You must be a school teacher ... perhaps because my teachers in grade school and high school believed in a higher calling and had the presence of an Angel. I was fortunate to attend spiritual schools that our Church provided. They were fully accredited. In fifth grade our teacher read to us over a period of a few weeks Or so books like “Little Women” by Louisa May Alcott. In 1866 she wrote a book “Behind a Mask” hmmm... I have not read that Book; however on Google they list all the Books that she wrote.
(Even the mischievous boys) were quiet and thoughtful during our teacher’s readings. Of course we played games during “recess” outside to release tension and give our brains a rest. I believe it was “Jo” who became a writer in the Story of Little Women. You remind me of that Book in your poems and I will be reading a few of your stories. We are going through a tough time in our Country. I believe Poetry and writing ✍️ is part of our healing process for our “Mind”. Of course a vaccine will be healing for our body. We pray that our Country and Constitution will not be destroyed. 🙏 Amen. Much love 💕 and admiration, Pat
