VAROOM

VAROOM

A Poem by Betty Hermelee
"

Motorcycle gathering

"
Thousands of motorcycles
cluster in the run
virus spreads like butter
heck no, we're havin fun

They beat their sun burnt chests
knock off their leather gear
hoot and howl
and stick ear to ear

Too close to sustain
what do they prove?
nothin but spewin
and dance in the groove

Smoke and chew
and hang at night
kick up their engines
at poor neighbor's fright

The world's eyes aghast
thinkin they're nuts
no masks, no worries
knownin the virus has past

Brilliant Betty. Can't we just let them ride off into the sunset somewhere and disappear. There is something lemming like about groups and when they have been revved up by their lunatic leader all reason disappears.
I hope the nightmare is over soon.
Take care,
Alan

Thanks so much Alan...A great way to spread the disease!!!
I saw an interview with one of the cyclists...he said he wasn't worried because the virus is a hoax, fake news...So 160 thousand deaths are fake news? I think not.
yes, Varoom.....
