Brilliant Betty. Can't we just let them ride off into the sunset somewhere and disappear. There is something lemming like about groups and when they have been revved up by their lunatic leader all reason disappears.
I hope the nightmare is over soon.
Take care,
Alan

Thanks so much Alan...A great way to spread the disease!!!
Your poem here is so true! It's not that hard or a political thing just to put on a mask! If we want to get back to normal, then we just need patience as hard as it is. Things are gonna get better, though.
I loved the imagery and rhyming in this, the sarcasm, it's just hilarious. Let's just hope the people non-believing in the virus get smart before something ultimately bad happens to them or their family. Thank you for giving the readers of this a little chuckle! Because this is just so true and the way you executed it was brilliant.

Thank you so much for reviewing! Yes this is so true, with time, hopefully it too will pass.
This is actually many people. I’m not sure why wearing a mask is such a huge ordeal for some folks but alas it is.

this is quite a chosen topic to write on in any form.. not sure what just happened in 2020; not ev'n sure whether China is really to blame for this #covid_19 virus which has altered the whole world; changed the way of living and working-style; walking n talking & living freely as well..
.. when we go out and see some crazy knuckleheads and old brats following no rules; wearing no masks; making no social distancing and all, it does make us feel quite wonderous... and this is what i see in your stuff.
good caption & a deep observation here... interestingly inked.
you're so very welcome, Bet. how's situation out there - is it under control now?

Your poem speaks volumes. The title is great. That first verse says so much
about the state of the world in general. It’s sad when even through this pandemic
we can’t even come together to try and stop the spread of this virus. Its disheartening that some think it’s over or is a hoax. Cleverly done.

Thank you so much for your in-touch review...I appreciate it. We are now friends! Fondly, Betty
dear Betty ... we have a Red Neck in our

I love this poem on many levels. I love that you tell this story in lively image-filled details that are quite unique to these kinds of gatherings. I love that your sarcasm isn't biting, just playful & snarky. I love that you let your material "sell" what you're peddling, rather than trying to make a point by telling readers how you feel about it. This is the crux of show, instead of tell. I was also questioning one big bike rally recently, altho I haven't checked to see if the most well-known have been cancelled, like "Burning Man" & also the huge bike rally in nearby Hollister, CA -- just 1-1/2 hrs from here. I'm at the point where I'm fine with letting fools take this country down. Thanks to Trump for desensitizing me to the horrors for 4 years. Hopefully I can stay safe in my solitude! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
Well conveyed Betty. Sadly we all have our groups who think it:s all over. While they are whooping it up, spreading the virus, there is no hope that the figures will reduce. Some still believe it's no worse than the flu. You keep safe my friend.

Thanks Chris, felt a need to write about this..take care
I do like the rhyme and the sentiments along with Jacob and Alanwgraham
I think we should pack all those attending these events and the ones who ran the Goodwood horse races when we were planning to lockdown > into a shipping container and send them off to USA to join President Trump he says its all a hoax put out by China
'Thousands of motorcycles - cluster in the run - virus spreads like butter - heck no, we're havin fun.. '
Is there a collective word for events like those?
How cleverly, cynically worded, plus - raw and irreverently honest. A poem that tells a tale of its own.. and how! Too many of those happenings and the word 'security' defies its meaning. Sincerely hope you;re distanced, Betty? Take care, keep safe.

this was a ridiculous idea!!! Thanks for your review and support!!
Nicely rhymed comment on a ghastly situation. If the meet you're describing is the one in S.D., I read 400,000 people were expected to attend. The local authorities cancelled the event, but some of the bikers said they were coming anyway. I don't know how many that will amount to, but regardless, they can all become infected and then spread it to the home folks when they return. Sometimes I really question Darwin.

My love of poetry results from my love of art. As a painter I am able to express myself on a canvas. As a poet my words come from my heart, my moods, sometimes sad, mostly upbeat. I like to use vivid .. more..
