What You Wanted to Say

What You Wanted to Say

A Poem by Sadie Cahill
"

We all want to say something that we've been hiding. Though, the social norms that exist in our community forbid that, we found other ways of expressing our words.

"

Words locked

Unable to speak

Muffled voices

A silent shout

Boiling anger

Binding phrases

Captured

In the cage

Of paper

So I got this teacher in this two subjects who forbid me to use my sketchpad. I saw what was wrong with that, but personally speaking, I was pissed with what the teacher did. Out of respect, I dared not object against the teacher since I knew that she'd go mad if I did so. So instead, I just wrote this in my notebook. I was satisfied, but I am still angry. I wanted a lot of things to say to her but her teaching style is something that I can commend. As for the sketchpad, I use it, whenever there's a lecture, it helps me concentrate a lot. (I listen well when I'm drawing.) But instead of drawing on the sketchpad, I just drew on my note compilation notebook.
