Day 5

Day 5

A Chapter by Sadie Cahill
"

Book reading.

"

I have decided to pass my time. While resting my weary feet, I’d open a book that I took from a bookstore. Though, I can’t get that much comfortable if I sat on cement, I, instead, made my home at the park that I had rested in 3 days ago.

It was a short amount of walking from my apartment to the park. Perhaps a few minutes, I didn’t notice.

Though reading can be boring some times. (I wasn’t an avid reader pre-apocalyptic times as I was busy with work, nor it did interest me to open a book.) My new resolution for reading survival novels, caught me. It turned out to be an engrossing

Perhaps I could list a few things that I could do.

-   Wander the city

-   Gather rations

-   Read some more

-   Rest

-   Look for survivors

The last option was an effect of the last sliver of hope that I still held. I won’t consider it really important, since I’m sure that I’m alone in this city.

I’ve taken an interest in survival fiction novels. Perhaps it was because of my circumstances, but I feel a close relationship with the plots of these novels.

Though, those novels only contained multiple characters, whereas I am alone in this world.
