Fading From Your Memory

Fading From Your Memory

A Poem by Elisabeth.

You say we've never met
I knew one day you'd forget
All the nights we spent together
Even days of cold beach weather

Sand between my toes
As a soft wind blows
The scent of salty water and your cologne
Nothing more brings me home

Now I'm laying in this bed
Can't get you out of my head
Your voice is like a song on repeat
But with out it I'm not complete

As I'm asking you to remember
You're slowly fading away like the last ember
The ember of the fire I tried to light in you
