Chapter 1- No EscapeA Chapter by BethIsRadLook and see!
Lia lifted her head from the pillow and rubbed at her eyes. A slight breeze blew the sweet morning air across her face, tickling her nose. She moved her hand from her eyes to attack her nose instead.
Lazily, she opened her eyes. What she saw caused her to jump up immediately from the bed. Where were all her things? For that matter, where was she? She stood and surveyed her surroundings. The four-poster bed she had been lying in was covered in soft tones of green and blue. Across the room, a vanity of dark wood boasted delicate carving of vines and flowers covering the surface. The mirror reflected a warm toned version her wavy hair and pale skin. A door in the corner led to a walk-in-closet filled with beautiful, tunic-like tops, and simple leggings. She walked back out of the closet and scanned the perimeter of the room. Other than a line of open windows on the wall with the bed, she could find no exits. The only door led to the closet, and that certainly wouldn't help her escape. She slowly eased herself against the wall and slid to the floor, hoping and praying that it was just a dream.
