I was the one that cheered you up when you were down

I was the one that made you smile when you needed it most

I thought I was the one for you

You thought I was just a good friend

You thought I was just a nice guy

You thought I wasn't important

You thought i was just some guy

But you knew that I loved you

And I thought you did too
