Paper Glue

Paper Glue

A Poem by Deepika

She sat silently on a shelf,

Waiting for an opportunity to prove herself

Her body was sticky,

Her smell was stinky,

None wished to touch her but a stick,

To put bits together, only she knew the trick

Papers were ruling,

Having had a high profile grooming

They got into a conflict,

And broke into segments

Pieces would’ve been a food to dustbin,

If she had resigned to her job of mending,

She brought different races of bits in alliance,

Giving raise to a beautiful master piece!

The uniqueness of the ideal baffles me,
The rhyme of the poem startles me,
And your poems make me love thee.
