A Blind girl

A Blind girl

A Poem by Deepika
"

In the voice of a girl who looses her pleasure of sight one day..

"

I hope my fave red dress didn’t fade after laundry,

I believe the moon is still focused over my territory,

I wish I could have a glimpse of my crush somewhere,

Mirror no more can lie to me that I look all fair

Where does my once admired eye now stare?

Did the sun loose his charm & hide behind the sea forever?

Cockroach can no more scare me with her long antenna,

Dark mascara has penetrated beyond my eyelids till my retina

Don’t use glycerin, I no more can see your tears honey,

Neither sympathize me, I just don’t need any,

Glittering things still don’t fall under my list of fallacy,

There’s a deeper pain hidden in me than the fire of jealousy

I might have no sight, but definitely a vision,

Pumping the red blood is still my heart’s mission,

Ears have become smarter to the waves that it receive,

My skin urges for the warmth that’ll never deceive!

Man we don't understand just how important our sight is. I couldn't imagine being blind and how different life would be. Very good work my friend :)

Thank you so much Rounak :) means a lot!
Gobsmacked here Deepika - girl gone blind but immediately looking to the positives - but first addressing the aspects that are neither; just cold hard facts.
The newer enhanced senses are all thats needed now - and how much more they will deliver truth than the easily deceived eyes.
This is really strongly worded Deepika. Into the library it goes.
Bravo!
:)
