You are special to me as you visit just once a year

So I acknowledge you with cake & pastries, wine & beer

I find you notable on the calender display

Coz everyone acquires a startling affection 

And starts wishing me a good day.

With your arrival my age turns plus one

I'm suddenly worried about my hair that would turn grey

And just leave a sigh as nothing can be done

Though to some the age is just a number 

How well we lived thus far is all that matter
