Fairy Tales make me wonder

Fairy Tales make me wonder

A Poem by Deepika

They always kick-off with 'Once upon a time'
giving no clue about the centuries to rewind
And I wonder why these sorceries never happen in the present or future

There's always a gigantic witch or a wild demon
As a barrier for prince charming or pretty maiden
And I wonder why they are always the lead hater

Signs off with 'Lived happily there after'
Suggesting their life was a bliss with nothing else to bother
And I wonder where our curiosity die when prince and maiden get together!

A very nice write and i feel the ideea. even wrote it down :)

She was a fairy beauty dreaming about the world

He was a knight with excesive compunction, fighting for his concord

They met by accident a long time ago

She loved him. Little did he know...

She was impulsive, he was no saint

Both driven by gravity, bouts and restraint

Nobody noticed in their eyes the silent glow

He loved her. Little did she know

Time is unstopable. Roads are getting separate...

Her heart bloomed, his was getting desperate

They didn't know about each other's torments though

They looked at the moon and wished. Little did they know

Nothing is permanent, so someday life will just drain

Yet they didn't find each other even if the truth was plain

Like most in life, we let our only light to flow

And spend the night at the window. Little do we know...

Thanks a ton:)
Interesting piece. Never thought of these questions you've presented. Obviously fairy tales are not reality. But I really enjoyed this poem. Creative. Nicely written.
