Heroes

Heroes

A Chapter by Deepika
"

You can prove yourself to you, only if your will power is stronger than anything in this world.

"

Chris Gardener, lead character of an award winning movie like that of pursuit of happyness;  Edmund Dante, the apple of a story like that of  ‘The Count of Monte Cristo’ carefully plotted by Alexander Dumas ; Nelson Mandella the leader of real life racial struggle are all bound by a common factor, that uniquely distinguishes them from the rest "“The Quality of Heroism”. Every movie or a novel has a character or more that stands out for it’s unique disposition of getting through any perilous plot and is entitled as “Hero”. But life is much more than those three hours movie or 300 pages book and the power to endure through  this real time struggle is what makes a person a real hero. So does the saying goes “Each one is a hero of his own story”.

The characteristic features of a hero as perceived by every individual might differ, say if a girl is asked to define her prince she might go back to the fairy tale era imagining a charming hunk riding on a milky white horse and approaching  to sweep her off the floor and living a life happily thereafter .Or a typical Bollywood freakish gal might say her Mr. perfect should by rules encounter a Vilian to prove his worthiness.  Though the fantacies like above add spice to our lives, life is a much deviation from what we expect.  As they say smooth roads never make good drivers, so is a life with no struggles, it just gets monotonous . A plot without conflicts or twists catches no attention, and these conflicts act as a stage from where the hero finds his way. A hero defines a set of attributes that can be looked up as a bench mark qualities.  Hero could be called as a leader that takes responsibility of any kinda situation the way it comes, and reactively responds to it. An ideal hero never complaints but compliments the situations for being tangled, so that he has an opportunity to stand out by unraveling it.

Everyone of us might have encountered a span in our life time when all our proactive plans are being shattered and the situation demanding us to act practically. Moments like these is what drives us towards challenges. And when we dare to survive in these moments of our life, it registers as experiences for us to long live our precious life. These are the times that provokes a hero within ourselves who can lead our life out of all turbulences and make us steadfast. No one’s born hero, but it’s through determination and will power one becomes a character called “hero"!

thank you:)
I liked this. Some very good ideas, and some really powerful phrases. A few spelling and grammatical errors, however, which detracted from the overall effect of the piece.
