Aorea at Home

Aorea at Home

A Poem by Berto

I indulged my romanticism,
and flew across an ocean to see you.
You are so lovely, I was not misled by my imagination.
Such easy banter, natural energy,
until I speak of it.
I have frightened you by my aggressiveness.
A man knows when he knows.
And I know.
There is not another woman on this planet.
Please believe me,
please discard your skepticism.
I am surprised by my own assuredness,
but I am compelled by something greater than myself.
