A Poem by Berney The Writer
"

A song for you, Jason.

"
Good morning, I love you
I know you know it well, but I can't say it enough

And when the sun is rising
You tell me how to live my day
So you say:

The reputation you give yourself and to others
Depends upon the fact that you care
I don't know if you would like a demonstration
But all I care to think about is you.

Good day to you, my darling
I love you, it's true
I wandered through the parking lot to find and be with you

And when I saw you sitting there
I asked if you'd follow me forever
And you said:

The promises you make and give to each other
Can shape and build the puzzles you wear
I don't know if you would like a demonstration
But all I care to think about is you.

Good evening, love
I must say farewell
The lessons you've been taught have done you well

So when the sky turns dark
And the stars come out to play
I watch you drive the distance until it all comes

A crash bang moment in the middle of the night
A smash crush deadly hit that takes away your life
I wish to say that your life wasn't lived
But every time I share your lessons
I know you'll live on to say:

I'll love you 'til the end of days, a pure heart of mine
Tomorrow's morrow and all the rest
I'll walk until the sunset in the light of our love
And after all I won't regret you

After all I won't regret us
