The Rockpool

An escape into simplicity

In glistening depths I see the world
and just what life could be.
It shimmers in the dappled light
with quiet simplicity
Overhead - the world seems bright
but deep down here - it's cool
The muted rays bathe all about -
with shades of green and gold
If I could make this place a home -
a harbor for my soul
I know I'd spend a lifetime safe
serene - and pure - and whole
Although I know this cannot be
In time - Ill have to go
til then - at ease - I'll drift just here
Embraced by ebb and flow

Whao.
so basically, u here talkin of the peace - the serenity of world, which's itself goddamn full of ambivalence - the uncertainties - of life that u've phenomenally described in the guise of ebb & flow - the up & downs of life. Very deep & poetically captivating poetry. It symbolising the implications of tranquillity that one longs to get swung along. Interesting!

That's one of the things I'm loving about this site it is brilliant to see my work through the eyes of others it's like reading it again but for the first time and it really keeps it fresh :) thanks for your review I really enjoyed seeing it through your eyes :)

Thanks :) it's my attempt at less dark subject matter so moving away from my comfort zone :)
