The Scarlet Letters

The Scarlet Letters

A Poem by Miles Wilburn
"

About my youthful angst.

"
As I boy I sat alone,
And hid inside my room.
All my parents ever said is no, no don't you do.
Inside my heart eternally was a little F
For the failures that I've endured, the embodiment of myself.

The letters that my body has displayed over the years.
The A's and B's and sometimes C's have never disappeared..
The negativity that they've shown will last for all the ages
Even after the chapters over, I relive what was on the pages.
Even after this life is over, I'll always relive what you said.
Letters are all that will remain of me, long after I am dead.
