Wrecking Ball

Wrecking Ball

A Poem by Miles Wilburn
"

The chaotic beauty of change...after a bit of self loathing.

"
I am a wrecking ball,
I destroy, I decimate
I do not create.
I have twisted the truth
to fit my needs, and realize.
just how horrible I can be.

The two castles of love
that once held me
were destroyed one last year
and one today.

What am I to do,
should I continue to plunge forward
blindly flailing, blindly sailing
into anything, and anyone who will reach toward me

Or should I simply stop living,
and be content with a life that I simply cant be content with
A life before that if I had followed will lead me into a castle of madness
A life, that if had followed now would lead me away from my dreams
into a life of mediocrity and simplicity.

Isn't there something exciting about this wrecking ball
the simple chaos that can be made, made into something new.
