The Question

The Question

A Poem by Miles Wilburn
"

Doubt and a question. What do you think the question is ?

"
I've messed up a lot in my life
and I'll probably mess this up somehow
thinking that i'm stronger than I am
moving without mental crutches

Will my bones shatter and walls collapse around me
Will the world stop and stare
I am so afraid to try something new, I'll admit that I'm scared
to hurt you

I like the fact that you care
and I really like having you around
Lonely is a pretty awful time of year
I just hope we last a little longer than a season

So I guess I'll have to wait til Saturday
to finally ask the question to you
I'll expect that things will change for us
hopefully for the better
but who knows

The language that you used was nice, the tone of it all gave me sad love song kinda vibes. At first my intuition was guiding me into thinking the question was related to marriage? Like asking somebody's hand so not to be lonely? And then lasting more than a season in the relationship? I don't knoooow I'm creating some theories..
