FragmentedA Poem by Miles WilburnThis is about losing yourself.
The heart plays a beautiful tune,
sometimes Mozart, sometimes Bach the tempo slow, pulsing and flowing. Digging deeper inside yourself, you pull out your soul To see what lies beneath. Beneath the ground of dirt and worms of lies and hurt, pain and woe. Is an angel of love, proclaiming grace. Buried alive. What a price to pay for pain, to lose oneself To fragment a beautiful soul. How I miss the way you used to be; The days when you were whole. © 2011 Miles Wilburn |
