First LoveA Poem by Miles WilburnThe change the loss of a first love has.
The First love is not always first,
but the one that hits the hardest. The one that makes you cry at night that makes you long for progress The dawn is always so serene, Sunlight brushes leaves. Love will touch upon your brow and lovingly kiss your cheek. But, One night, I walked through city sidewalks working my way back home. Tears traveling with me making stops along the road. My heart a part of its machine had suddenly cracked and then broke I tried to fix it with a chain, a wire, a rope. But, I was so suddenly attached that if you looked upon my neck a string that hung like a broken wing had suddenly disconnect. So we'll look and look for another string to tie ourselves together. But, once you have your first heartbreak, you'll find your changed forever. © 2011 Miles WilburnFeatured Review
