Shattered in Thought

Shattered in Thought

A Poem by Benny Longshank
"

An old, old piece - The morning after the night before... I jotted this down whilst sat sleepily at my desk after an all-nighter!

"

My mind...

Drowned in thought, Surrounded by frowns or more//

On grounds of law, Astounded by nouns at war//

One found the floor, Emphatically shrouds the core//

Drags down the doors, on agony's clouded sore's//

Sight bound by force, insanity fights the cause//

After pints were poured, the late night invites the course//

Hi-lights the source, now tired I prise my jaws//

Uninspired and bored, as sweat perspires from pore's//

Left in silent remorse, my corpse in definite mess//

The elegant death, covered by my delicate flesh//

With effortless rest, I spend few seconds on breath//

No etiquette set, the test of the delegates met//

One hell of a trek, the quest of my patience is next//

I wait to suppress, the pest and awakening threat//

Now aching in depth, baking as I blatantly said//

I'm waiting for bed, when night fell the vacancy fled...

Great write!

Full of beauty and grace even in its enormous tragic, and sadness.
Very thought and image provoking. Contains a profoundness
that slowly sinks in to reveal a cruel gravity.
Wonderfully done. I am not yet ready to forget about it!
The work of a great poet!
