Her words, like sirens' song, so sweetly sung,

Masked the treachery that lay among.

With every kiss, a whisper of deceit,

Each touch, a falsehood veiled so discreet.

He sailed with hope, his heart a compass true,

But in her eyes, a storm began to brew.

For in the shadows of her gaze, he found

The echoes of betrayal, all around.

Her promises, like sails unfurled in breeze,

Yet anchored to the depths, where darkness flees.

And so they sailed, upon a sea of lies,

Where trust was lost beneath the starlit skies.

The ship of love, with untrustworthy mast,

Foundered on the shores of love, at last.

Striking way of story telling with rhymes, the beautifully used metaphors here creating the perfect imagery, there is shivering doubts and dark secrets in the lovers' auras, yet their decision to stay together and go on with their journey even amid all the insecurity and unsure thoughts picking on heart depicts a promise of its own, to keep holding onto each other...loving the line, 'on sea of dreams, on waves of which passion dance' beautiful treat was this poem!
