Lake of Loneliness

Lake of Loneliness...Desert of Despair....Heaven of Hopelessness....

I am sinking into Oblivion.

Lost in the Lake of Loneliemess

is a feeling understood by me.

The pain I comprehend is not mutual.

Who could understand? You?

Ha! Don't make me laugh.

As I fall into the depths of Hell,

all I can think of is,

"Why me? Why me?"

Dear friend I understand the pain.

The Fantasy of Freedom we dream

The Taste of Happiness we longingly desire.

The feeling of Immortality that is

so very pleasing to my ears.

As I slowly fade into nothingness

I think "Why me? Why me?"

~

I am misunderstood.

People think they know me but they don't.

Who can understand the excruciatingly painful emotion?

We are just prisioners' here in the Lake of Loneliness.

As I slowly dissipate into the shadows that 

reside in my mind I think my last thoughts,

"Why me? Why always me?"

~

I am confused with Life.

Why do we live to die?

We live to fight and

we fight to live.

We live our life

with only regret.

As I asend to Heaven

I finally understand

this feeling of unaccomplishment.

"I could have done more."

[Shadows of Sight]

This was really good. I liked how it alluded to lifes procrastinations, and how only in death do we realize that there was more to do then we did. I think it's a very true thing. Why put off till tommorow, what you could do today.
I got the feeling that this was based from some sort of relationship that had gone south for some reason. The wandering of thoughts led one person to damn themselves in blindness, only to see the light to late.

bi the way we don't live to die hon... death is merely another realm of life in another form we rarely remember while in this form. the memories are there within you if you take the time to find them :D the lessons learned thus far are there as well :D

This is very good! Especially for someone as young as you. What a poignant take on loneliness. I've often felt every drop of what you wrote, and to compare it all into the lake of Oblivion, what an outstanding piece! I like it alot.
