Unopened Gates

Unopened Gates

A Poem by BenightedWhispers
"

Where am I supposed to go? Heaven, Hell, Earth,purgatory....all regect me.

"

God's Kingdom won't open for me.

It won't open it's golden gates.

They say I'm much too evil.

Satan's Palace won't open for me.

It won't open those black pearly gates.

They say I'm much too innocent and pure.

The middle will never open for me.

They won't open those cell gates.

They say I'm too much hopeless a cause.

The pathway to life won't open for me.

The pathway between the four worlds,

says I am not ready quite yet.

Earth won't open up to me.

Those beautiful wooden gates

shut as I approach.

They all say the same thing.

They all say in the same voice.

They always say I do not belong.

Where do I belong?

Where do I stand?

Where do I fall?

What is the meaning of

my pathetic exsistance?

Why am I so refused?

What will open to me

or am I supposed to

watch over them all?

Despite the treatment

and the sneers that

they do behind me?

I didn't choose this?

What did I do wrong?
Fate frowns upon me.

Oh Fate is

an uncomprehendible mistress.

A loving evil being.

The Mistress of Night and Day,

Good and Evil,

Life and Death.

She decides your exsistence.

For you are just clay

 in her tretcherous hands.

The one thing I have found out in life is this-- I have to open my own doors. I can't count on my mother, my father, my family, my friends, my man, kind strangers, anyone. I have to open my own doors and make my own opportunities. Everyone else may leave you. If you leave yourself, that's when the problems start. It's a good poem, but I just wanted to shout, "Knock the gates down!!!" LOL! Good work, my friend. I see you growing with this one.

Very well put. Although I have a path I walk, I can see where finding one is hard. Very intrigueing, thank you for sharing.
