Forget Me Baby/Baby I'm Sorry

Forget Me Baby/Baby I'm Sorry

A Poem by BenightedWhispers
"

This is a mother singing to her baby. She tells her child to forget her, move on, and that she is so sorry for all that she is putting the baby through.

"
Baby I'm sorry
I'm sorry for you
I'm sorry you have to
be pulled into everything I do
It's not fair to you
Not fair
Not fair to you
Why oh why
Do I do this to you
Baby please
Don't cry for me
Love me remember me but
Don't feel sorry for me
Keep your head high
Higher then the sky
Don't let them know your pain
Forgive me
I'm sorry
Please oh please
Forgive me
I'm sorry
Baby I'm sorry
I get you in harms way and
Yet you stay by me
Leave baby
Forget me
There's no reason to be
With me baby
Why me
Go and never return
I'll sing to thee
Until you
Leave and never return
I'm sorry if
This makes no sense but
Sweetie please
LEAVE
If I sound sad
Don't worry
Find a new home
I'll be ok
Until that day
We part ways
An angel and demon
How did I find you
I'm not worthy to be with you
So run baby
Have fun baby
Forget me
I'm not worthy
To be with you
So go my angel of the night
I'll stay here
and pay for my sins
BYE BABY
BYE BABY
My little angel of the night
Find someone
Who'll teach you right
Someone who will care
BYE BABY
I LOVE YOU BABY
Forget me forever more

I agree with you Tina. I hope so too. Thank you two very much. ^.^ It means a lot that you shared your comments on this poem and any of my writing. The mother thinks she is no good for the child simply because of the father, and how the world she wanted for her child turned into a disaster. She is being a good mother and wanting her child to have a better life. ^.^ At least thats what I think.

Very powerful and very sad. My question is why does the mother think she is no good? I'm sure she has her reasons, but she does love her child and she wants her child to have a better life than what she thinks she can give this child. You really pull at the heart strings with your poem. It is very good and easy to read, flows nicely. I hope there is a happy ending in there somewhere for mother and child.
