Virgin Lily

Virgin Lily

A Poem by BenightedWhispers
"

Lilies turn into roses or devils. Which one are you?

"

Where our love doth dwell,

As if in a special spell,

I do dream of our living Hell.

Where doth thou

Sprinkle your enchantments?

From where doth thou

Entrap more than me?

A devil’s form

With a serpent’s tongue

And a scent

As sweet as a rose…

How many more lilies

Have you planted

In your garden?

Why doth thou

Deny me

The undeniable truth?

The chain hath broken.

The love hath gone.

The blind hath frayed.

My senses have sharpened.

A devil hath bedded me.

Thou are my first devil,

But I am not

The first lily.

Oh! The shame and despair!

Where our love doth dwell,

As if in a special spell,

I doth dream of Hell;

Fire lilies surrounded

By rose thorns…

Oh, how sickly sweet,

Shameful

Tempting

And terrifying a Hell…
