BlossomA Poem by Ben RobinsonAll the flowers my life blossomed.I look back at my Demise, Before my empire falls, Knowing now how I rose, And bared all my thorns, Makes me embrace them all. When the seasons change, Down comes the rain, Making way for daybreak, Paving the path for the blossom, It all slipped away, Control fell from my palm, Like the night slips to day, Yet sustains it’s calm. The lightning strikes, The past is sealed with a smile, It signals the end of the night, It’s been a while, Since we saw the light. Now the trees flowered blossom, As I walked down Stepney road, It wasn’t so hard to stay afloat. Never in a million years, Would I have believed you, If you’d have told me I’d be here, Speaking my truth, Banishing my burning fears, Blossoming. © 2020 Ben RobinsonAuthor's Note
