PandemicA Poem by Ben LRI came up with this last night and thought it was relevant to today. Still working on it, but thought to give it a shot. We’re now in a pandemic, We’re all needing a medic. More than ever before, How our society has changed, through something we can’t control. Its like the first world got a taste of the third world. When the kids in Africa dying on a regular, Now we copped something that spreads worse than malaria. Back then nobody turned their head, But now its our doorstep. Governments are regulating conditions that need to be met. But now, its the works of the what and the hows. We just need to stay safe and stay inside, Before more people die, While we’re the ones alive to try and fight this cause. Before this happened we had our head down towards the floor on our tech, But how everything changes and we’re all staying connected, More than ever before. We united as one, clapped and cheered for the ones who are on the front line. While they’re trying give someone else a second chance to their own life. Why has it got this far, We should of taken it more seriously than when we stood away from afar. Its not hard. Even though times are tough, We’re all in this together as one. Its spreading far and wide, To ones we don’t know, But they’re life is worth the same as yours. So we have to stay safe and stay at home, Is that too much to ask. Your saving lives by staying home and being bored, As our minds fade, We need to figure out new ways to stay motivated. Jobs are lost, markets have crashed, Most places are closed. But, we’re doing the best we can by standing back. Before you and I become infected, By the virus that keeps on spreading. We’re now in this Pandemic, More than ever we need a medic. Stay home, stay safe, Before all of us are infected. © 2020 Ben LRReviews
