Peon

Peon

A Poem by Ben

Commandeered by a less than cheery spirit

Seen something, caught a glimpse of something less than clear

Happenstance, my radar screen blips and some storage and organization of data

We’ll cross this river here, set up stations here, a system

A consistency

Marveling at our ingenuity, us

Satisfied, couldn’t do it better, tiny bee

Settle down into the nature of this sector

Pay to have a roof over your head that doesn’t move

How many unused parking spaces

How much property that no one really has any superior claim over

Unless they fess up and claim to be superior crooks
