Wink, an Eye in the Sky

Wink, an Eye in the Sky

A Poem by Ben

It doesn't depend on one person to behold or vocalize
of course discontent or dissent is a sacred outcome
sacred counter-explosion, in reality, to every dirty reality bomb of greed and lies
the trees that fell silently in the forest, in Galeano's rhetoric
or Gibran's narratives, fall for the letter listener, all at once,  crack! a violent sound

Nothing, rest assured can move you, sway you, like it should
but some things will come close
there are such utterances
there are such times, moments, states of mind and chance
there are powerful words which will mean nothing
and words which mean nothing at the time, but will
so it goes that, there is some homework which is meaningless without grades
and there is some homework that is meaningful without them
The inescapeable annoyances of describable living
confined to amable to the burning cant youve been given
this that i think I am, is always my undoing
these terms first of all, those contexts worst of all
Isn't anybody dignified enough, not to want to get better
but not to lie about getting worse
well, gee, its really simple
just take away the measure and the sense of a timetabled intracate rungs back and forward into history
is there no spectrum
no degree
no relativity
no wonder
