Ah

Ah

A Poem by Ben

New fields
New creatures that inhabit them
Grazing without restraint
Hummingbird speed jets

At your part, at your station
You were assigned or you created or both
The mongoose manipulates rough it's octopus tentacles
The machine smiles or frowns

These new fields
Vast and overwhelming in intricate boundlessness
Like a spider surveying angles
And a hawk calculating trajectory
Anti-profitless-grazing
Scowering ravaging scathing pressure and suggestion
Minute role, in outward power to encounter systematic reigns on randomness
Inward power never more than outside this moment
Never more than what powers to, you have at this time
Unconsciously never counts, consciously turning, shifting, controlling
Adjusting and re placing my mind re-angled line of sight
Re-focused, re-considered just plain just colorful and vivid
These actions slowly and bit meal re-forming my consciousness and re-calibrating what's worth it
Proportion, relativity as a question to myself
The perspective and what it's based on
The interface and what it's buttons are
The outside game learned and inside infirmities dismantled
The remnants of the lower rank notions, concerns and cognizance
The brush cleared out of the way to see the forms of the forest floor
And more easily follow the trunks to the canopy

The holy catch, or game or crop, sustenance and sacrament
Regions' fields,
One grand field
The preditor and the prey the same vain creature
Yet the superstitious commoner calls them by mythical names
The fields the accountant of the governor
Plots out points
The output and material organization, all looking good on paper
Seize and summon the world
One great field with numbered numberless men
One great whip
One inventory
Measure the normal time it takes them and
Force incremental productivity to elevate gains
Remove the personal vested element of trades and
Just put them in a machine-like segment of an assembly line
Marshall creativity for every end in mind
We got the money, the talented of the new fields will stand in line at the one oasis
Marshall the best to man the ranks
Feed the masses their hooks and their tv mana
Instil pretentiously one size fits all super narrow-minded modus operandi
