Am I

Am I

A Poem by Ben

I am because I was born
I have what I've done and yet may do
So do I fit like a glove
Do I gaze, laugh, love, breathe, die like my loved ones?
Do I have a tendency in my bones to my own sort of spirit
Taken after, yes, heritage, but no, not near it?
So was I formed, how was I dreamt up?
Do I need a note notarized that I am woke up?
The brawl you have with your broken time as you break
Time is above you but made you below you before when
You were above you which you are over now all along
Pretending you're better than you were before you owned a broken self
It's free, nothing happened get over yourself
Believe in the religion of patterns and just walk away from yourself
Literally obstain from yourself do not include yourself
Stick to the mute button, leaving charade light tactful possible
Don't demonstrate yourself, be on guard with yourself
While looking through all else and just exclude these patterns
The pattern of the self, be nothing else
Reside in a bullet proof now free in so many ways but one
From what you don't see just one freedom from ones own peace
With what isn't of them, with which they didn't need before
What do you make peace with but still intend to get around to?
Your peace is your war is your peace or your war is your peace is your war
But that's the only notion of war I know
I would get over my differences, for my part I have historically preserved records
So I'll put matters behind the confounding fury fuming will be channeled
You will not see me consume myself tonight, i will however breathe fire
