SecretA Poem by BenCassanOne man's internal struggleYet again I take that lonesome walk With only my thoughts for friends Knowing that I should turn and run Knowing where this path ends I think back to that phone call Where you begged and swore and cried You said you couldn't carry on You said you wish you died I knew that in being there My heart would rip in two But I couldn't leave you there alone The door in the distance grew I see the moonlight hit your face The tears are glistening down It must be nearly freezing Yet you're solely in your gown I come and sit beside you No words are needed here You simply fall into my arms So glad to have me near For I to you am your best friend And yes I play my part But for me, truly, madly and deeply I love you with all my heart
