The Range Over!

The Range Over!

A Poem by Bennett
"

The creation calls gratitude to mind.

"

The quest to seek Her kindled in me,
I extinguished complacency and set out to flee.
Picked up my thoughts and switched on the maps,
speeding on the stones, we cruised the laps.

I glanced through the expanse of the fields,
and bowed in gratitude for the countless seeds.
Then I looked up to the mountains and embraced its highs,
only to realize, the One above us can cease our cries.

The mailbox kept buzzing till I put it on silent.
I proposed to make mother nature my client.
We took to cameras and jingled along the way,
brushing away deadline, we drove into the bay.

I binged on Gol-Gappas and donned the hat.
stroked my cheeks to pose like a brat.
Clocks ran out of time and made made the foul cry,
Sadly, we had to pull back and I said the final bye.
