The Things We Unwillingly Unleash

The Things We Unwillingly Unleash

A Story by Mia

“This is what I was afraid of, destruction. I unleashed the beast in an already corrupt palace and now it’s crumbling right before our eyes and right below our feet. Souls, minds and our sanity are collapsing.” She shuttered in terror that she’s the beast’s next victim.

“Can’t you lock it up?” The man questioned unaware of the price others would have to pay.

“No, and if you could, there would be battle scars, lives lost, Hearts internally wounded by its wretchedness. Our once perfect palace is decaying from the weight of our own burdens.” Her regret, her sorrows reassure her that she’s still sane.

“What are we going to do?” The man gaped at the woman across from himself in spite of the beast he is still mesmerized by her beauty.

“Kill it.” She murmured, and plunged a knife threw her heart.

This is one of my first short story I ever wrote, I dug up from one of my old journals.
The Metaphors are deep and you have to look at it from certain angles to understand it

Quality is brilliant. It's deep and is full of emotion. The metaphors fit in perfectly with the piece and it makes you look at it from a different angle. typo *through, otherwise brilliant

Thanks so much
Abstract and metaphoric. I like this piece very much. Just one tip :) at the end should be "trough" instead of threw :) just a typo, nothing of an impact to the quality :)
