An Ode to Love or What You Can Do With Your Valentine's

An Ode to Love or What You Can Do With Your Valentine's

A Poem by Belthizor
"

A poem I wrote for my least liked 'holiday' of the year - Valentine's Day

"

Valentine's is a day of cheer,

So take it far away from here

In this season I enjoy

Plotting my nefarious ploys

The fluttering of Cupids wings as they flap

All this seasonal sappy crap

It’s enough to drive me wild!

"Let's put an end to this", I smiled,

And stole into the stores at night

To put an end to this torturous blight.

I tore up every card, and de-fluffed every bear

I stomped on every rose - there were flowers everywhere

Then I stole on home

To think up this poem.

To warn you about Valentine's Day

With a short, sharp conclusion, if I may:

Valentine's Day - You may love it,

But I say "Shove it!"
