EnvyA Poem by Lauren RiddickThis poem depicts the droughts, or rough times, people go through during a lifetime.
There's so many people that want us apart,
But how dare they, they don't know our hearts. No one wants to see us booming with life, They want to knock us down, destroy our barriers with strife. "What goes around comes around", But what have I done that made people want to hurt me, bring me down? My name stands for the best, Although I can't speak for the rest. I just love you so much, Even if they tear us apart, we'll keep in touch. Once we're not together and they think they've succeeded, "Oh, what idiots?" Don't they know our love can't be defeated? So once again, we return to reality, Just know you'll always be my baby, no matter what formality.
