The Superman Who Couldn't

The Superman Who Couldn't

A Poem by Annabelle
"

The empty promises that line our lives — something not even Superman can salvage

"

We are the supermen of this generation.

Limitations;

a mere boulder in the

name of success.

The word ‘could’;

a psychological Kryptonite.

Pillars of ambition, possibility,

crumbling down.

We are left with nothing,

for we are nothing.

Graveyards

of broken promises

a faint reminder

of something;

Superman could

not save.
