It's a good thing to reflect and learn from ones past.

Thinking back

Into my past.

Wishing, hoping,

Now, at last?

 

Sadness and sorrow

Throughout the years.

Hiding from others

The endless tears.

 

Learning from

Past reflection,

Now a chance

At true perfection.

It really is. It's also great to simply marvel at how your live stories been woven.

I like the rhyme scheme. The sound of the last stanza is my favorite flow wise, but when it comes to sentiment "Wishing, hoping,/Now, at last?" is my favorite line.

BUT, Robert, I can't write as you do. You have such depth to your works. I dearly love the rhythm and rhyme of poetry, thus my works are as they are.
