An Ode To A Friend

This poem was originally written by me as a gift to a friend back in 2015. Until now I didn't get to have the chance to give it to her personally because we've become busy with life.

In this cruel but marvelous world,
Where kindness seems to fade away
You are a story yet untold
A book of beauty and bravery.

In a treacherous world of tempest,
Shrouded by the tenebrous clouds in the sky
Your kindness glows and your smile is the warmest
A wind that makes wings fly.

In this world of uncertainty,
You are a constant piece
of fragments of memories worth remembering.
An anchor to a ship in a raging sea
Amusing, comical, happy moments
are the words of our friendship song
we will never cease to sing.
