FlyingA Poem by Janna RuusuvuoriA poem, song or story about the struggles of the unbelonging
I search unsatisfied for who I am as I have not yet become
I have such a longing which is my undoing that I am no one I have flown over the seas never weak at the knees I have sailed to distant islands while warm in my hands Yet my mind still yearns and while my heart burns For a feeling of one and belonging In vain I search for a name that I can call my own But there is no sound on this unsound ground That I can say that makes stay completely So I am the changeling, the player, the fool And I will dance away all ridicule For I have seen many a land Sung many a song And held many a lover in my arms But still I dream of the one shining star Who drives me to go so very far I will love myself. my journey, my life With both my arms outstreched and wide Until I sing like the earth Soar like the birds And swim like a fish Through the diamond sky For my heart is my home And spiral I will roam To find my one true love In heaven above For I will never be whole With this incomplete soul Searching for my celestial dove © 2014 Janna RuusuvuoriReviews
